 December’s Unemployment Rate rose to 3.9% from November’s 3.7% even as Non-Farm Payrolls rose by 312K,

 their biggest increase since February, from November’s 176K.

 The unemployment rate rose as the Labor Force Participation Rate jumped to 63.1% from November’s 62.9%

 December’s Average Hourly Earnings surged by 0.4% from November’s +0.2%

 Average Weekly Hours rose to 34.5 from November’s 34.4 

 December’s Markit  Manufacturing PMI fell to 53.8 from November’s 55.3.

Services PMI fell to 54.4 from November’s 54.7. Composite PMI fell to 54.4 from November 

December’s ISM Manufacturing PMI fell to 54.1 from November’s 5 

Initial Jobless Claims for the week ending December 28th rose by 10K to 231K.

Continuing Jobless Claims for the week ending December 21st rose by 32K to 1,740K
